This Free Trial Policy (“Policy”) applies to all users who access the D5 Render for Teams Free Trial. By starting a trial, you agree to the terms below, in addition to our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and other terms applicable, as amended from time to time by D5.
1. What exactly is included in the free trial?
Enjoy full, unrestricted access to every feature of D5 Render for Teams for your first 14 days. Your trial experience is identical to a paid subscription, allowing you to test workflows, export results, and collaborate without restrictions.
2. Why do I need to provide a payment method?
Providing a valid payment method helps us:
• Verify your identity and ensure you're a real user (not an automated bot or “farm” account)
• Prevent fraud so we can keep offering a generous free trial to all our users.
Note: Prepaid/gift cards are not accepted for starting a trial.
3. Will I be charged during the trial?
No. When you start your trial, we place a temporary $1 (or local-currency equivalent) pre-authorization hold on your payment method to verify its validity.
• This amount is never captured (collected from your account)
• Most banks list it as a “pending” transaction and release the hold within minutes to a few business days
• It will not appear on your final statement
4. Why does my banking statement show a $1 charge ?
That’s the temporary pre-authorization hold mentioned above. Since we release it immediately, it should disappear automatically without any action on your part. If it remains after seven days, please contact your bank directly, as the timing of the hold’s release is determined by their policies.
5. Do you store my card details?
We never store raw card numbers. All payment data is securely tokenized and vaulted by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. We only receive a secure token and the last four digits of your card for reference. For more details, please see our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
6. Will I need to complete 3-D Secure (3DS) verification?
Possibly. If your bank or card issuer requires an extra layer of security, Stripe will prompt you to complete a one-time passcode or biometric check. This process helps to protect your account from fraudulent transactions.
7. What happens when the 14-day trial ends?
• Automatic Conversion: If no action is taken, your subscription will automatically convert to the paid plan you selected at sign-up, and the first paid cycle shall begin immediately. You can always review your plan and pricing in Settings → Billing.
• Reminder emails: We'll email you 7 days and again 3 days before the trial ends.
• How to cancel: you can cancel at any time before your trail ends by going to Settings → Billing → Cancel Subscription. To avoid charges, please cancel at least 24 hours before your trial end time (as displayed on your Billing page).
• Final 24-Hour Window: Due to processing limitations with our payment partners, cancellations requested within the final 24 hours of the trial may not be processed in time to prevent a charge. If you are charged after submitting a cancellation request during this window, please email us at support@d5techs.com. Our team will verify your request and promptly issue a full refund for that charge. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
• Time zone: Your trial end time is displayed in your Billing portal and is based on the time zone there.
8. Can I restart or extend a trial?
To ensure fairness for all users, each user account + card combination is eligible for one free trial. We're unable to extend or reset trials. If you require more time to evaluate D5 Render, please contact our sales team for access to a Live Demo Workspace.
9. Are there any hidden fees, taxes, or long-term commitments?
No. All pricing is transparently listed on our website. Any applicable taxes will be clearly shown at checkout. Plans renew month-to-month, and you can cancel at any time before your next billing cycle, as described in Section 7.
10. Is reselling, transferring, or sharing of trial accounts allowed?
No. the reselling, renting, gifting, or transferring of a trial account—or any access obtained through the trial—is strictly prohibited and constitutes a violation of our Terms of Service. If we detect that an account, payment method, device, or IP address is associated with the resale or bulk provisioning of trial licenses, D5 may:
• Cancel the trail immediately and revoke access;
• Suspend or terminate related user accounts and payment profiles (and, where permitted by law, without refund)
• Block associated cards, devices, or IP addresses from future trials or purchases
• Pursue further action, including legal remedies, as outlined in our Terms of Service
We employ automated risk controls (including Stripe Radar) and process signals in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
11. My card is declined when I tried to start the trial. What should I do?
Cards can be declined for various reasons (e.g., expired card, insufficient funds on a prepaid card, suspected fraud, etc.). Please:
a. Double-check your card details for errors.
b. Try a different, non-prepaid card
c. Contact your bank to ensure that they allow a small pre-authorization request from “STRIPE D5 RENDER”
d. Using a Link-based wallet? Free trials do not support Link-only payments (no card). You can use Link to add/store a card, and then start the trial with that stored card.
12. Who should I contact with billing questions?
For any billing-related inquiries, please email support@d5techs.com. We typically respond within one business day.
We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated in-app notifications or via email. Continued use of the Free Trial constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
