We are teaming up with HP, Intel®, and Affinity to deliver a prize pool valued at over £100,000 — comprising professional hardware, cutting-edge software, and creative resources carefully selected to support your craft.
These awards are designed to put industry-leading tools directly into the hands of creators. Six Categories to Showcase Your Vision
The Drawing of the Year Awards 2026 recognise visual representations across a diverse range of styles, typologies, and approaches within the built environment. Submissions are open for six main categories:
1. The Drafted Award: Celebrating 2D/3D CAD, BIM, or traditional hand-drawn scaled drawings (plans, sections, elevations, technical detailing) that demonstrate exceptional logic, scale, and craft.
2. The Hand Drawn Award: Honouring the timeless art of drawing — traditional or digital — with a focus on technical mastery and design expression.
3. Hybrid Award: For artworks that blend the physical and the digital, highlighting experimental works that combine two or more mediums and techniques.
4. Illustrated Award: Focusing on non-photorealistic illustrations and graphic interpretations where atmosphere, narrative, and stylised expression take centre stage.
5. Modelled Award: Recognising the power of 3D forms, celebrating works where three-dimensional modelling is the primary medium for conveying space, structure, and form.
6. Visualised Award: The premier category for high-end visualisations, renders, and imagery. Judges will look for outstanding composition, lighting, texturing, atmosphere, and visual storytelling.

Exhibit at London Creates 2026
Beyond the premium hardware and software prizes, winning the Drawing of the Year Awards offers exceptional global exposure. Top works will have the exclusive opportunity to be exhibited as part of London Creates 2026, a major creative exhibition held at The Truman Brewery in London from 16–26 July 2026.
This historic 17th-century brewery, now a vibrant creative hub, will display your work alongside world-renowned studios and leading creative practitioners. Shortlisted entrants will also gain valuable international publication opportunities to help advance their careers.
How to Enter
The Awards are 100% free to enter and open to creatives across all disciplines and backgrounds.
All submissions will be reviewed by an expert judging panel of leading practitioners from across architecture, design, and visual culture (to be announced in the coming months).
