From July 11–19, London Creates 2025 transformed The Truman Brewery in Shoreditch into a dynamic celebration of architectural thinking, visual storytelling, and the design journey. The event brought together architects, designers, students, and studios from around the world to explore how ideas evolve from concept to space.

For D5 Render, it marked a milestone: our first offline event in London — and an exciting opportunity to connect with the creative community using D5 to visualize and communicate their work across all design stages.

Held in conjunction with the Drawing of the Year 2025 Awards, the exhibition invited visitors behind the scenes of the design process — through hand sketches, diagrams, study models, and immersive visualizations.

From the development stories behind projects by Foster + Partners and RSHP, to the stunning visual entries submitted by over 250 creatives globally, London Creates showcased the full arc of how architecture is developed, refined, and expressed.

As a Creative Sponsor, D5 Render contributed more than software. As the creative tool, D5 amplifies inspiration, not interrupt it. The exhibition featured D5-powered works from Rashin Shahriman, Cezary Kostecki, and Srividya Muralidhar, each offering a unique take on design visualization. Their projects demonstrated how real-time rendering supports clear communication and faster iteration, enabling architects and designers to test, refine, and present ideas with greater clarity and confidence. Whether used during early-stage concepts or final presentations, D5 offers flexibility and speed at every turn.

AI That Enhances, Not Replaces, Design Thinking

During the event’s evening talks, we shared our vision for how AI can serve creativity — not by automating design, but by empowering it. AI is meant to enhance the creative process, not replace the role of designers behind each project.

From real-time lighting to smart material tools, D5 helps streamline decisions, improve feedback loops, and keep designers in creative flow. Insights from leading studios like KPF, RSHP, and Zaha Hadid Architects reflected this shift toward more agile and visual workflows — where speed and storytelling go hand in hand.

Visualization Specialist Anna Mytcul from KPF’s London office joined D5 Render on stage to co-present a case study showcasing KPF’s experience using D5. She shared how D5 has helped their team boost efficiency and elevate design communication, reinforcing the shift toward faster, more visual design processes.

D5 also supported the event by offering 180-day Pro licenses to over 250 shortlisted participants, with winners receiving an extended creative toolset as part of the “Ultimate Studio Setup.” These contributions aimed to empower creators at all levels—whether in school, competitions, or professional practice—with tools to elevate their work.

A Shared Commitment to Better Design Workflows

Conversations at London Creates reaffirmed our mission: to support architects and designers with intuitive tools that accelerate the way they work and create.

We remain focused on:

  • Making real-time rendering accessible and effortless
  • Enabling faster decision-making through visualization
  • Supporting the creative process from start to finish

Whether in early ideation or final delivery, D5 is becoming an essential part of how architecture is designed and communicated.

Final Reflections: Process is the Point

London Creates 2025 was a celebration of not just outcomes, but of how design happens — through exploration, revision, and visual storytelling.

We’re proud to have been part of this moment and grateful to everyone who stopped by, shared ideas, and helped shape the experience.
